Our festival-style weddings are hitting the right notes!

Our Festival-style weddings are getting some amazing feedback! A more laid-back celebration in a stunning setting, with music on-and-off all day and a taste-bud-tingling choice of different food menus brought out to guests who are able to mingle with one another while they eat and drink: what’s not to love?!

After getting engaged between the first two lockdowns, Georgina and Ben McDowell were originally planning for a wedding in 2022.

But when they saw photos of The Vines on Instagram, they knew it was the venue for them. The Rochester couple took a look around and were soon booked in as one of our summer weddings. 

While significant family members were sadly unable to attend due to COVID, they had an unforgettable experience.

Georgina told us: “We fell in love with The Vines when we saw it. We loved the interior design, the styling and rooms – we felt it was very us.

“What we really wanted was a big party, a chilled, relaxed vibe, and a venue with character and The Vines gave us everything we were looking for and more. 

“We are from Rochester and it was lovely to be married in our home town, just around the corner from the Castle and Cathedral. We liked that it was a new and exciting venue and we didn’t really want the big sit-down meal, so the festival style wedding package was perfect for this. 

“The day was seamless. You get very experienced wedding coordinators who make sure everything runs smoothly and every detail is taken care of.

“We were really lucky with the weather so did our speeches outside in the beautiful courtyard, with our guests standing around us. We had an acoustic musician during the afternoon and got in a band we wanted for the evening.

“The food was amazing and we received a lot of comments about how good it was – and even the cocktails are made to a high standard. I got ready on site and the rooms are stunning. 

“We’d definitely recommend The Vines to couples looking to get married. The whole operation of the team means you can relax and enjoy the day and know it will all run smoothly. It’s the perfect choice for those who want something a bit different, relaxed and fun.”
